Raven House is built of local red sandstone and has many original features, including the original cast iron range, wooden floors and beams. The cottage has two bedrooms. It has been tastefully renovated with a new, well-equipped kitchen and has an efficient modern central-heating system which rapidly heats the whole cottage.

Lounge

The cosy lounge still has the original cast iron range and open fire. If you don't want to visit one of the local hostelries, you can relax on the comfortable leather suite in front of a roaring log fire on cold evenings, watching TV or DVDs. The TV has Sky satellite reception (non-subscription) which includes all the main BBC and ITV channels, plus several radio stations.

Kitchen

The newly refitted L-shaped kitchen has ample units with oak doors, and everything you need is conveniently to hand. The high quality equipment includes a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric double oven with grill, and a microwave. In a separate utility room is a washing machine/drier.

Dining room

This features a traditional farmhouse pine table and four matching chairs. The bookcase's contents include paperbacks, DVDs and games.

Please note that, for the pleasure of all our guests, Raven House operates a no smoking policy. We ask our guests not to smoke anywhere in the cottage.

We also regret that we do not accept pets.
